Taste

the coffee

The specially designed Tasting Flight is the featured highlight of the event. The Tasting Flight is an informal version of a traditional “coffee cupping” which is the practice by which a professional coffee taster attempts to measure aspects of the coffee’s aroma and taste, specifically the body, flavor, acidity, sweetness, and aftertaste much like sommeliers evaluate wines.

9am-10am – $22 VIP ticket holders get a one hour jump start on coffee tastings

10am-4pm – ” The Art of Coffee” $8 for a 5-tasting flight

ADVANCE purchase is highly encouraged. Tickets are limited and the festival is expected to sell-out.

At Gate: $10 for General Admission day-of purchase (if not sold out already)

Choose from 80+ coffees locally roasted and artfully brewed. Come Taste your way around the globe…

You will need a ticket to sample coffee at the festival and to have access to the workshops. Tickets sold out in advance last year so be sure to purchase your tickets early! On the day of the event, be sure to bring a print out or a digital version of your ticket to one of the official SACF entrance portals to get your SACF wristband and sample tickets.
Entrances to the ticketed portion of the festival are located at the corner of Alamo and Villita Street and near the intersection of Presa St. and Villita. You must pass through one of these gates to receive your coffee tasting tickets and wristbands.
Each ticket holder will receive tickets for a flight of 5 sample size tastings of coffee. In previous years there have been 80+ different coffee to choose from.
The festival starts at 9am for VIP ticket holders and 10am for GA ticket holders.
